A few years back, I found myself in a less than ideal situation: unable to work due to a chronic injury.

I was a mess.

If you have ever been in a similar situation, you will know that life is turned upside down for a while, maybe even for ever, and you start to think about life moving forwards: what you want to do, what you used to be able to do and will you ever be able to do those things again?

Aaarrrrgh!

Life had given me lemons, so I sat and poured a gin (it's true, I did)

Finding myself with too much time to feel sorry for myself, it was time to find a purpose. Something to work towards, something I could do to make endless hours of physiotherapy worthwhile. 

Having to rethink and relearn how to do even the most basic of tasks, I started to develop lifestyle hacks and as I started to  recover, the ideas started to flow.
