How to wrap a box with fabric gift wrap

This guide shows you how to wrap a box with a simple single-bow finish. It creates a beautifully wrapped gift using folds and one secure knot, with no tape or scissors required.



Wrap your box step by step

  1. Place the box diagonally in the centre of your fabric gift wrap.
  2. Fold one corner over the top of the box and tuck any excess fabric underneath.
  3. Repeat with the diagonally opposite corner.
  4. Bring the two remaining corners together over the top of the box and tie securely. Adjust the folds and bow until you are happy with the finish.

 

Want a double-bow finish?

For a fuller finish, you can use all four corners of the fabric to create a double bow. Follow the visual guide below.

 

 

Make it your own

For an extra thoughtful finish, tuck a little greenery, dried flowers or seasonal foliage into the folds. You can also use ribbon, string or other reusable pieces you already have to create your own look.
