The art of wrapping with Furoshiki

Furoshiki gift wrapping really can be this simple

Furoshiki is a simple way to wrap a gift with fabric. For the easiest method, all you need is your gift and a square of wrapping fabric.

How to wrap with Furoshiki

  1. Place the gift or item in the centre of the Furoshiki wrapping fabric.
  2. Bring two diagonally opposite corners together and tie them.
  3. Bring the remaining two diagonally opposite corners together and tie again.
  4. Adjust the folds and knots until you are happy with the finish. No tape or scissors required.

And that’s it. Beautifully wrapped, without a wrestling match with paper, tape or hunting for scissors!

Make it your own

For an extra thoughtful touch, tuck a sprig of greenery, dried flowers or seasonal foliage into the folds, or use ribbon or string you already have to create your own finish.
